J.J. Taylor aims for 155 CNG truck fleet in Florida by 2017

Beer distributor J.J. Taylor will accept delivery of 10 Freightliner CNG tractors outfitted with Cummins Westport’s ISX12 G engine by January 2014.

The Company will receive 10 new Freightliner Cascadia tractors equipped with Cummins-Westport ISX12 G engines by January 2014 that will fuel at a station being built in Ft. Myers. Fontana, CA-based TruStar Energy is building the station, which will be equipped with two islands with a fast-fill double pump on each. In addition to fueling the Taylor trucks, the station will offer public access.

Taylor plans to add 17 more route delivery CNG trucks to its southwest Florida fleet in 2014 and 10 more in 2015 at which time the company will be halfway to its goal of converting its entire Florida fleet of about 155 trucks to CNG by 2017.
